Internet opens job doors, says expert It has never been easier for graduates to peruse the professions open to them, one professional body has said.

Graduate Prospects revealed the growth of the internet has opened up many doors to newly trained people looking to kick-start their careers.

This could come as good news for those who have just finished their studies and are looking for a job as well as to those that are currently studying for a degree as there opportunities may keep improving.

Jayne Rowley, publishing director for the higher education body, said: "It's not so much the numbers of opportunities that have grown, as much as the accessibility of them."

The explosion of online job boards and application systems mean "it's never been easier to see the full range of possibilities open to you", she added.

Established in 1972, the organisation works in partnership with prominent bodies in the field of higher education to bring students, graduates and recruiters together.

Meanwhile, Adecco revealed last week those looking for a job should make sure they do not follow in the footsteps of the BBC's Apprentice winner, Lee McQueen, and lie on their CV.
