nases conference heads to leeds
14-May-2008

Nases conference heads to Leeds The National Association of Student Employment Services (Nases) has announced its annual conference will take place at Leeds University Union from July 1st to 2nd.

It describes the event as a great opportunity for student employment professionals to catch up with friends and colleagues in the field.

According to the organiser the convention offers a mix of sessions and workshops essential to student employment professionals.

Sessions will discuss all the industry updates necessary to running sustainable student employment.

Workshops will include environmental awareness, diversity, responsibility, business planning for the future and community relations.

A company statement said: "We are grateful to this year's hosts - Leeds University Union and look forward to a lively informative event."

Meanwhile, the body's director, Alison Clark, said last week that students were becoming a lot more demanding of what they expect from work.

"Students have specific demands from their summer job - perhaps course related, within a particular country, or industry specific," she added.

She concluded that there are around 110 job shops set up in educational establishments to help students find jobs giving them more choice in the type of work they participate in.
