O2 includes all staff in new incentive

18 Apr 2008

O2 includes all staff in new incentive O2 has announced a new staff incentive scheme where employees of any rank can be in line for a reward.

The company is offering a reward to staff who attract new broadband business to the firm.

Part-time staff and temporary workers will also be included in the incentive scheme which is thought to be a lump sum of cash, according to Personnel Today.

This could be good news for students who are working part-time for the company to supplement their studies and to those who have gap year jobs with the firm.

HR director Ann Pickering told the recruitment publication that the new system was aimed at encouraging more employees to take part.

"The broadband reward scheme will provide a single target for all of O2's employees regardless of their background," she added.

Concluding that: "This signals the people agenda is at the forefront of everything we do. It made an enormous difference for the HR team as it showed the company really valued what they do."

O2 previously ran a £15 million 'Thanks a Million' reward scheme for staff annually where eligible employees would receive a cash bonus for being rated top in a customer satisfaction survey.

The company aims to become the mobile operator of choice through its commitment to service and customer retention.
