Students who love the cinema and their mobile phones may be interested to know that 3 is piloting new equipment which could enhance the viewing of mobile movies.
The phone network is offering customers a chance to trial the new Vuzik iWear goggles in its stores this week.
If they like the pocket-sized video glasses, customers will be able to buy them in-store or online for £199.95.
A virtual screen is created in the glasses by tiny high-tech displays, and according to the manufacturers, the experience is the equivalent to watching a 62-inch plasma TV.
Vuzik's goggles have built-in stereo speakers and give five hours of continuous use from a single charge, reports Absolute Gadget.
The gadget news website added that iWear can be connected to all video enabled handsets, as well as almost any other device capable of playing video such as iPods, DVD players, games consoles and camcorders.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that as soon as this summer, passengers flying around Europe will be able to use their mobile phones on flights.
The European Union (EU) has announced new guidelines allowing European airlines to pursue technology that could allow passengers to use their mobile phones at 30,000 feet.
An EU statement said that lifting the ban would not increase the chances of terrorism or interfere with the planes navigational systems.
