The amount of people who buying eco-friendly car insurance is on the rise, according to MORE TH>N.
No doubt boosted by green thinking students who drive, eco-friendly car insurance is becoming more popular, says the financial services firm.
Nick Dear, external communications consultant at MORE TH>N, said: "We are seeing a steady increase in the uptake of our green eco insurance, but itÂ’s important to note that it could be in part down to the fact that there are more hybrid cars on the roads these days."
He added that there are more people driving and "looking for these types of insurance policies" and hopefully it "influences, informs and helps" people who are choosing their insurance products.
Mr Dear concluded that as 74 per cent of drivers are seriously concerned about rising petrol prices so driving more economical vehicles and "driving in a more economical ways" could combat that.
A survey in February this year revealed that three out of five people who buy an 08-registered car are buying a vehicle with lower CO2 emissions than their previous mode of transport.
MORE TH>N was launched in June 2001.
