Students who are fans of glamour model Katie Price, otherwise known as Jordan, can boast some Jordan-endorsed plastic of their own after she announced she is launching a credit card.
The card promises to be "pink and girly" and is set to have a design based around Jordan's curvy silhouette.
However the card has caused some controversy as experts are wary that it will encourage young women to overspend.
Damon Gibbons, of Debt On Our Doorstep said: "This is a totally irresponsible idea. Jordan is a very influential celebrity who has a lot of young fans who want to be just like her."
He added that giving these fans a credit card endorsed by Jordan herself will "encourage youngsters to spend cash on living a lifestyle they wouldn't normally be able to fund".
Credit cards which have been released by celebrities have been around in the US for around four years but this will make Jordan the first celebrity in the UK to put the idea into practise.
A spokesman for Katie Price has said that the card will be hers rather than "something Katie just puts her name to".
In related news a study by Abbey Banking has revealed that only 32 per cent of people using credit cards on the internet would consider using technology to help improve security.
