The mobile broadband company 3 has slashed prices on its mobile services, providing good news for students who like to have the internet on the go when using their laptops.
USB modems from 3 have been cut in price from £99.99 to £69.99. The modems plug into the laptop and give users the chance to access broadband wherever they are with their computers.
Jonathan Lutz, head of mobile broadband at 3 said: "We're always striving to bring the best value to our customers. Mobile broadband is a fantastic service and we feel it should be affordable for all our customers, whether they're on contract or Pay As You Go."
Packages that go with the mobile broadband deals have also decreased in price, users who want one GB of allowance every month will now only be charged £10, while users looking for three GB of allowance will have to pay £15.
The company has claimed that the three GB deal will give users 100 hours of internet access and 2,000 plain text emails. They will also be able to download 200 music tracks.
Users can enjoy seven GB of access to the internet if they are ready to pay £25 a month in the Broadband Max deal.
