Health-conscious students may be interested to hear about the new fitness-driven mobile phone being launched by Samsung and Adidas.
The miCoach mobile phone is being described as a sports and music handset and includes a heart rate monitor and a stride sensor.
YH Lee, vice president of Samsung telecommunications business, said: "The miCoach phone opens a brand new 'sportronics' market created for active users with multimedia tastes. We are adding a wider choice of mobile phones to get closer to individual consumersÂ’ lifestyles."
Eric Liedtke, vice president of Adidas brand marketing, added that miCoach is the "most advanced training system in the marketplace" and it blends "sophisticated mobile technology" with "the most advanced in sport innovation and training".
The mobile phone also features a two megapixel camera, one GB of internal memory and comes in several different colours.
A personal coach on the mobile phone tells users to "speed up to power zone" and also "15 minutes have been completed". It also provides users with music which is tailored to their workout plan.
