Nokia mobile phone owners will soon be able to immerse themselves in a range of worm-related gaming fun as the manufacturer is bringing the Worms World Party game to its devices.
Mobile gamers will be able to test themselves and classic worm weapons, such as the super sheep and holy hand-grenade, in the game's lava fields of hell and freezing ice caverns settings.
They will also be able to do so with more than one player as the game's designers have included a four-way play facility on Nokia's handsets.
Adam Comiskey - international vice president of game publisher THQ Wireless - said: "Worms has always been a great success on mobile devices and N-Gage technology has allowed us to produce the most advanced, faithful and visually impressive mobile edition of Worms to date."
However, eager gamers will have to wait a while longer before they can bask and battle in the game's pirate islands and alien space worlds as Worms Worlds Party is not to be released until the second half of 2008.
In related Nokia news, the mobile phone manufacturer announced last week that a Google search facility is to be combined with Nokia's search application for consumers located around the world
"Adding Google to Nokia Search provides mobile users with fast, relevant and comprehensive search experience that will be familiar to the people who use Google to search the web from their desktop," according to Vic Gundotra, Google's vice president of engineering and products for mobile.
