Nokia has unveiled a new eco-friendly mobile phone which is produced using recycled materials.
Showcased at this week's Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona, the phone has been designed to limit its environmental impact.
Speaking to delegates at the conference, Nokia's chief executive Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo confirmed: "It is only a concept now - I cannot make a phone call - but it gives you an insight into how we think we can break new ground."
The phone boasts a corrugated metal casing and a flat, touch-sensitive keypad all made from recycled cans.
In addition, the phone manufacturer claimed that all its electrical components were made from recycled materials.
Nokia has been developing the handset, branded Remade, at its laboratories in Finland with today being the first time it appeared in public.
Meanwhile, the Mobile World Congress has also witnessed a memorandum signed between Nokia and Orange that sees the firms collaborate on value-added services such as maps, mobile advertising and gaming.
