Students who have a habit of breaking their mobile phones may be interested by the launch of Sonim Technologies' new phone, which the company claims is indestructible.
The phone is designed to withstand extreme temperatures, dust, wind, dirt, water and shock. It also comes in six different colours.
Having already been available in the US for a few months the mobile is now being unleashed onto the European market.
The phone was originally designed for people who work outdoors and in construction jobs, making it better equipped to survive a student night out.
Bob Plaschke, chief executive officer of Sonim, said: "The Sonim XP1 doesn't die when exposed to the elements, can be dropped, kicked, tossed into a toolbox or backpack, seen and heard in bright/dark and noisy conditions, and provides reliable voice, push-to-talk and data services."
An unconditional three year warranty is included in the mobile phone deal.
Meanwhile, research has shown that mobile phones are becoming more and more popular as devices to buy music with.
The report, by Understanding and Solutions, also reported that mobile music will be worth $11 billion, approximately £5.4 billion, annually in the future.
