PwC launches new recruitment programme

22 Oct 2007

PwC launches new recruitment programme Leading graduate employer PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has launched its 2008 recruitment drive.

The programme, which is focussed around environmental issues and reducing negative impacts on global climate change, will allow students and graduates to learn about the company and the opportunities it provides.

Sonja Stockton, head of student recruitment for the UK, said: "I'm passionate about ensuring people receive the highest quality learning and development experiences that build both their technical and business leadership skills, so am delighted to have the opportunity to lead the overall student recruitment programme and bring new talent into PricewaterhouseCoopers."

In a recent poll by High Fliers and The Times, students named PwC Britain's top graduate employer for 2007.

Furthermore, corporate responsibility and long term learning and development opportunities were found to be high on potential employees' list of expectations of future employers.

The study showed Deloitte coming in at second place in the Top 100 list, with Goldman Sachs at tenth and the Co-operative Group ranked at 100.

High Fliers Ltd is planning a follow up to this research in February next year in which around a fifth of final year students will be quizzed on the way they look for jobs, whether it be online, at careers fairs or in employers' brochures.

Furthermore, it will research expected starting salaries, job locations, long-term career plans and preferred industry sectors among other things.
