Fashion students' designs to sell in Selfridges New designers are to have their Graduate Fashion Week (GFW) work showcased at one of the capital’s leading department stores.

The students' work will be put on sale at Selfridges' flagship store in London, in a Pop Up Shop, where fashion enthusiasts will have a chance to snap it up.

All proceeds from the sale of the items will go to the eleven graduates who designed them.

The lucky designers were chosen by buyers from Selfridges Contemporary, Casual and Spirit department who saw the successful 20 articles at the first GFW gala show last month.

Perushka DeZoysa, buying manager of Women's Contemporary, said: "The idea of the Pop Up Shop is to give fashion students the opportunity to experience one of the most exciting and competitive retail environments in the UK, while offering our customers unique pieces from young British designers they will not have heard of, yet, at least."

Orsolya Szabo from Northumbria University, who graduated in BA Hons Fashion, described the experience as "surreal", saying it was a "huge achievement" to have the sum of such hard work on sale at Selfridges.

Victoria Beckham, a River Island Gold Award Judge, has purchased three of graduate Kelly Shaw's designs already.

The Pop Up Shop, hosting the graduates' work, with be situated in Selfridges' Contemporary and Spirit department on the first floor from October 1st.
