Two young temps have won an award from The Business Connection in recognition of their dedication.

Laura Champion and Clare Booth were credited for their achievements and efforts as temporary staff and received their prizes from managing director Kirsty Craig at the Chester office in Lower Bridge Street.

The winners received a corporate prize and a bottle of wine.

Ms Champion is a student of the Liverpool University in her third year of a marketing degree. She found job with General Motors Used Vehicles Sales in Chester Business Park in July through The Business Connection.

She chose temping as way to pay off her student debts and has been able to earn enough to fund a holiday to Tunisia.
Ms Craig said: "Clare and Laura are fantastic examples of two temps who put their heart and soul into their work and are rightly being rewarded for it. The Business Connection Award for Temps celebrates outstanding achievement and is a regular monthly fixture."
Ms Booth, who graduated from Nottingham University in July with a 2:1 in politics, is interested in a career in project management.
The news comes a week after the National Union of Students announced that more and more students are working part time to pay off debts incurred at university.
Most of the debt is built up from living costs but also from increased tuition fees.
