A new broadband package has been launched for students and others who enjoy online gaming.
ISP Freedom2Surf has announced the creation of Broadband 4 Gamers (BB4G).
The deal is definitely one of the more expensive broadband packages around, priced at £24.99 per month.
However, it should appeal to gaming enthusiasts because it offers an up to 8Meg connection and a 50 Gigabyte usage allowance. Another 50 Gigabytes can be bought for £6 per month.
Freedom2Surf said the package has been designed to "minimise ping times with the least number of network hops to connect your PC to the game servers".
Richard Manly, consumer product marketing manager at Freedom2Surf, said: "The launch of this new service marks a turning point in online gaming.
"Most broadband connections are fine for web surfing and downloading music, but gamers need a service that's optimised for performance.
"Broadband 4 Gamers is available now and meets gamers' needs head-on."
Cash-strapped students who aren't so keen on gaming may want to consider their options, however.
Several broadband providers now offer the service for as little as £10 a month.
