Arnold Clark To Create Dozens Of Jobs In Wolverhampton

Arnold Clark, the car dealership group, has announced plans which will create dozens of new full or part time jobs in Wolverhampton.

Subject to planning permission, the automobile company is to open a new motor showroom on four acres of land in Wednesfield area, close to where it already has training facilities in the West Midlands’ city.

The new Arnold Clark superstore will be on the Pantheon Park industrial estate, taking up almost a quarter of the whole site, and bosses say that as many as 85 vacancies could be created for staff in the area.

Angus Huntley, the Development Manager for Stoford which is a partner in the deal, said: “Arnold Clark's proposal to create an exciting new motorstore at Pantheon Park is great news for the area and marks a major investment in the West Midlands by the company.”

Arnold Clark’s Estates Manager, Derek Cuthbertson, also commented, saying: “The business has had an active requirement for a site capable of accommodating a motorstore for some five years now. This always had to be close to our existing training facility to ensure that we can establish an efficient, sustainable operation.”

“Following an exhaustive site search across the local area, the land at Pantheon Park has emerged as the only one meeting our specific requirements,” added Mr Cuthbertson.
