Gymshark, the fitness clothing retail chain, is to create 150 full or part time jobs in the West Midlands over the next year.

Last week, Gymshark opened new headquarters in Solihull with facilities to help staff relax, including a cinema and a yoga area.

Dubbed GSHQ, the new base could eventually employ up to 600 staff at the 3,900 square metre facility.

Gymshark, founded in the West Midland’s biggest city Birmingham, is only six years old but already has over 1 million customers in almost 180 countries worldwide.

The company is on track to reach £100 million in sales this year, making it one of the fastest growing businesses in the United Kingdom.

It is also planning to further broaden its international appeal by more than doubling its overseas online storefronts to 25 territories over the next two years.

Commenting on the launch of the new West Midland’s facility, Gymshark’s Chief Executive Officer, Steve Hewitt, said: “GSHQ is more than just an office. It will provide our staff with the most inspirational working environment, whilst opening our doors to welcome the brightest talent.
