students consider cabin crew roles
03-Aug-2007

Students consider cabin crew roles Students wishing to become career high flyers have been offered a new and unique way to do so. Solihull College, in the West Midlands, is expanding its already popular flight cabin crew course, so that more students will be able to sign up from this December.

The Air Cabin Crew and Aviation Operations programme is run by the Business & Technology Education Council (BTEC), and many on the course have gone on to pursue a career in the aviation industry after the completion of their studies.

Solihull College, formerly the Solihull College of Technology, is currently accepting applications for prospective students hoping to start courses in September, at the beginning of the next academic year. It has already received high levels of interest in the course from a number of students hoping to work in airline industry.

Ian Boulton, senior tutor of the course which is taught out of the colleges Blossomfield Road Campus, told local newspapers: "We are always delighted when we see students finish the course and go straight into their dream job and it definitely makes all the hard work worthwhile.

"Every year the success speaks for itself with the majority, if not all of the students getting accepted for jobs and because of this the numbers coming to us have continued to grow."
