A new Miller & Carter steakhouse restaurant will create 50 full or part time jobs in Leicestershire when it opens its doors in Enderby in the middle of March.

Miller & Carter, owned by Mitchells & Butlers, which also owns other famous chains like All Bar One, O’Neill’s and Harvester, has over 50 steakhouses around the United Kingdom, including nearby ones in Northampton and Nottingham.

The new Enderby steakhouse will open on the site of a former Toby Carvery, a chain whose parent company is also Mİtchells & Butlers. The new Miller & Carter will have 180 covers and a variety of shifts will be up for grabs at the restaurant.

Miller & Carter’s regional business manager for the area, Claire Maynard, said: “Everyone who works for us is completely obsessed with steak and we're keen to recruit people who share in our love for excellent quality – both food and service. We're looking to attract applicants with enthusiasm to join the team and become official steak geeks. We want team members to deliver a fantastic experience for every guest that walks through our doors, as we gear up to our opening in a month's time.”

Explaining what sort of roles the new restaurant was trying to fill, a spokesperson for Miller & Carter said: “We are seeking to recruit 50 talented team members, including those needed to work in the kitchen and front of house. The new Miller & Carter is also on the lookout for any budding bartenders who can shake up a cocktail and match wines to the perfect steak.”
