Job board CV-Library has revealed the top ten places where you should be able to find new jobs this year...And North West city Liverpool has topped the list for the second year running!

Nearby Manchester also makes the top ten, and, of course, the UK’s capital London features high up in proceedings. Students in Scotland can also look forward to lots of new jobs in Glasgow and Edinburgh, and anyone studying in Wales should have plenty of work options in Cardiff. Southampton, Portsmouth, Hull and Bristol are the other places which make up the top ten hotspots for new jobs in 2017.

Here is the full list, in order, of the best places to find student jobs and other new vacancies during 2017:

1. Liverpool – new jobs up 23 per cent

2. Edinburgh – new jobs up 20 per cent

3. London – new jobs up 19 per cent

4. Southampton – new jobs up 18 per cent

5. Portsmouth – new jobs up 18 per cent

6. Manchester – new jobs up 17 per cent

7. Hull – new jobs up 15 per cent

8. Cardiff – new jobs up 14 per cent

9. Glasgow – new jobs up 13 per cent

10. Bristol – new jobs up 13 per cent
