A new trampoline park on Willowholme Industrial Estate is set to create dozens of new full and part time jobs in Carlisle when it opens in the middle of October.

Around 70 Carlisle jobs will bounce into life at the new 2,000 square metre Energi Trampoline Park leisure facility which will feature 89 joined-together trampolines. The park will be Energi’s second venture in the region, following the success of their first facility in nearby Preston.

The new vacancies will be advertised at the start of September and recruitment days will be hosted later in the month. Applicants for the Carlisle jobs will not need previous experience of trampolining as full training will be given to successful candidates. With the Carlisle trampoline park due to open seven days a week, there should be some flexible shifts on offer once the attraction is open to the public.

The general manager of Preston’s Energi Trampoline Park, Steve Jeffery, explained why the trampoline craze was bouncing into life in the North West:

“It seems to be the latest trend of activity for youngsters and adults and families to do as a whole. It really has taken off quite dramatically. I think it's to do with the fact that you forget how much fun bouncing up and down on a trampoline is and when you've got all these trampolines connected together, it brings out - especially for the adults - the inner child in you,” said Mr Jeffery.

As well as trampolines, the park will also feature assault courses, basketball hoops, a 3.6 metre climbing wall and a cafe.
