500 new Birmingham retail jobs are to be filled at a new flagship John Lewis store due to complete in the city this September.

The 500 new positions at Grand Central in Birmingham will be made up of various roles - such as sales consultants and stock assistants. There will also be some catering vacancies to be advertised at John Lewis too, along with a range of 150 other specialist roles on the support, marketing and admin side of the company’s retail business in Birmingham.

The new John Lewis store in Birmingham will come with a price tag of over £30 million, but will be one the group’s biggest properties outside of the capital. Once finished, the department store will cover an area of more than 23,000 square metres.
