TNT Post To Deliver 400 New Jobs In London This Year

TNT Post, the parcel delivery service, has announced that they are looking to fill 400 full or part time jobs in London as the company looks to double the number of people it employs in the capital.

TNT Post will open four new delivery facilities in London and says it is looking for young people like school leavers as well as the long-term unemployed to fill the majority of the new London jobs they will advertise over the coming months.

The delivery service, owned by Dutch parent company PostNL, has already created around 1,000 vacancies for people in London, but hopes to double its headcount in the UK capital before the end of 2015 as it steps up its competition with the Royal Mail.

Speaking about the London jobs the firm has already filled and the sort of young people they seek for their vacancies, Nick Wells, chief executive of TNT Post, said:

“We are passionate about creating jobs. These jobs have been filled by people who may have found it difficult to get back into, or even join, the workforce. We are committed to helping develop people's careers and our focus on training and development will not only benefit TNT Post employees, but also the wider business community.”
