Euro Garages Will Drive 600 New Jobs In Two Years

Euro Garages, a leading name in the petrol station forecourt business of the UK, has set out plans which it hopes will drive 600 new full or part time jobs in the next two years.

The Blackburn-based company which started out in Bury and has been in business since 2001, mainly runs its operations around its heartland in the north west of England, but is expanding its success all over the north and has ambitions to increase its brand nationwide.

Euro Garages recorded sales figures of over £400 million in its last financial year - up more than 40 per cent on 2012 - and added 650 new jobs in the previous twelve months. The company’s owners expect further progress in the coming months and forecast that another 600 vacancies will be created before the end of 2015, taking their headcount close to 1,900 employees.

Euro Garages’ managing director, Mohsin Issa, said the company was going to continue with its winning strategy of investing in new brand opportunities with names like Starbucks, Subway, Greggs and Burger King whilst also making more acquisitions to increase its presence on forecourts all around the country.

“Our strategy is delivering results and performance for our brand partners, underlined by investment plans and consistent innovation in the forecourt retail convenience sector. We also have ambitious plans to create new jobs and offer our employees the additional support and training they need to exceed customer expectations,” said Mr Issa.

Chief executive of Euro Garages, Zuber Issa, brother of Mohsin and co-founder of the enterprise, was also upbeat about his firm’s prospects going forward, predicting that the company would have a presence at over 200 forecourts by the end of next year. Zuber did, however, temper his comments by saying that the fuel market was still ‘a tough place to be.’
