17 Jul 2007

Chance to work with luxury motors University leavers can now apply for a place on a Rolls Royce Motor Cars graduate programme.

The luxury car firm recently launched the scheme, which will provide up to 15 graduates with the chance to join the manufacturer.

The two year course will allow successful applicants to develop skills in the areas of manufacturing, engineering, management, sales and marketing.

Participants will also be able to gain experience and training in aspects of corporate communications, information technology and financial dealings.

Ian Robertson, chairman and chief executive of Rolls Royce Motor Cars, said: "We anticipate several hundred new jobs being created at the manufacturing plant over the next few years and our graduates will be ideally positioned to take advantage of this opportunity."

The course will also offer graduates the opportunity to take part in international work placements.

Previous research has shown that this sort of industry-specific training significantly boosts graduate employability.

In many industry sectors, those on graduate courses with companies are the top choice when those firms look to recruit staff on a permanent basis.
