IT Jobs In Belfast With Deloitte

Professional services firm Deloitte is set to nearly double its staff levels in Belfast as it looks to fill 177 new IT jobs in the city over the next three years.

All of the vacancies will be filled by graduates or experts in the IT field and the company has already started the recruitment process to fill the new roles.

The Deloitte recruits will work with client businesses in the finance industry of the United Kingdom, Europe and other locations around the world.

The technology and communication jobs in Belfast are expected to earn the successful graduates an average of over £30,000 a year as a starting salary from Deloitte.

More than £1 million of the funds needed to house the graduates in a new technology studio in the city has been put forward by Invest NI.

Danny McConnell, a technology partner at Deloitte, picked out Belfast's infrastructure and the existing workforce's knowledge of data analytics as major reasons why Deloitte are investing in the city.

"These will not be accounting jobs, these will be creative, digital jobs where staff will be working on developing, engineering, building, testing and marketing applications, websites and software for our clients," said Mr McConnell.

Arlene Foster, the Economy Minister, said that the investment in Belfast by Deloitte was very important, but that our universities need to continue to turn out high calibre graduates in the technology field in order to keep ahead of the curve.
