New Redhill Development Could Bring 350 Surrey Jobs

30 Apr 2012

New Redhill Development Could Bring 350 Surrey Jobs Newly-passed plans for a redevelopment in Redhill could add around 350 full or part time Surrey jobs to the economy according to local councillors.

The plans which have now been approved by Reigate and Banstead Borough Council include a hotel with almost 100 rooms, a gym and new town centre parking facilities in Redhill. There will also be improvements made to the local Redhill Library, the Harlequin Theatre and the existing Sainsbury’s supermarket at the Warwick Quadrant site.

The new plans will see the existing development almost triple in size to around 80 thousand square feet and will add hundreds of new jobs to the Redhill region of Surrey.

Speaking of the new full and part time jobs that the development could potentially bring to the area, leader of Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, Joan Spiers, said that, “the scheme will vastly improve facilities for local residents and businesses and the additional jobs it will create is great news for the local economy.”
