Insurethebox Forecasts 700 New North East Jobs By 2015 Insurethebox, the car insurance firm which specialises in telemetric technology, forecasts that it will create up to 700 new full or part time jobs in the North East of England by 2015.

At the moment the company employs just over 140 employees at their North Tyneside service centre office base but hopes to take on one hundred extra staff by the end of 2012. A further 600 jobs are expected to open up over the following three years as the car insurance firm expands its operations.

One of the major selling points of insurethbox is that their technology can be beneficial to young drivers. The company places their tracking devices into clients’ cars and it checks the speed at which people are driving. The safer the telemetric technology adjudges the driver to be, the more competitive that a drivers’ insurance premium could potentially be priced at.

Insurethebox’s head of operations, Jason Tipton, praised the work ethic in the North East: “We have 40 staff in management and administration roles in London, and otherwise all the clients are serviced from Newcastle. We have found the workforce to be incredibly hard-working and loyal up here, and see our future in this area.”
