13 Feb 2012

Dyson Creates 300 Vacancies With At Least Half To Be Graduate Jobs Max Conze, the new chief executive of engineering firm Dyson, has said the company will create 300 new jobs in the near future.

200 of the new jobs at Dyson will be engineering jobs and 150 of them will be graduate engineering jobs. Positions available will include vacancies for people to specialise in mechanical, fluid dynamic, acoustic and aerodynamics engineering.

Worldwide, Dyson provides engineering jobs and other positions for over 3,600 people, so will get very close to a headcount of 4,000 when the new recruits are on board.

Mr Conze said: “My job is to take the new technology developed by our expanding army of engineers and grow Dyson - more machines and markets. And of course, more people."

The company, famous for selling the bagless vacuum cleaner, has just posted record sales figures, topping £1 billion for the first time since the firm was founded in 1992.

Speaking of the new graduate jobs, company founder Sir James Dyson, said: “Max shares my faith in young talent and, as we begin a new phase, we are redoubling our efforts to bring in the brightest graduates, not just in engineering but across Dyson, here in the UK and overseas.”
