Marks & Spencer, the UK retailer, has 200 graduate retail jobs on offer for 2012 and applications are now open.
The retailer is looking to recruit 140 students into graduate jobs in their London head office and some of their 300 plus stores throughout the UK.
In addition, M&S will also place 60 undergraduate students into one year work experience placements with the company. Historically, 4 in 5 of the students who undertake the placements as part of their degree course receive an offer of graduate role when they have completed their studies.
Applications will remain open until December this year and the successful graduates will begin their careers with M&S in September next year.
There are rich rewards if you can manage to land one of these graduate retail jobs with Marks & Spencer as graduate starting salaries can be between £23,500 and £28,000. Even the 60 students who take part in the one year placement receive between £16,500 and £19,500.
A range of graduate jobs are available for students with different career plans. The M&S Graduate Programme includes jobs in Retail Management, Fashion Design, IT Logistics and Food Technology, amongst other opportunities.
As you can probably imagine, competition for graduate jobs at Marks & Spencer is pretty fierce. Last year, over 11,000 students applied for the graduate roles that the retailer made available.
