Red Hot World Buffet & Bar, the restaurant chain which offers British, Chinese, Thai, Mexican, Italian and Japanese food, is set to open a new outlet and will create 120 Cardiff jobs in the process.
The world food eatery currently has branches in Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Northampton and Nottingham. The new £1.8 million restaurant in Cardiff, which is due to open in October 2011, will become the company’s first outlet outside of England.
The choice of food on offer at Red Hot World Buffet & Bar is pretty eclectic – imagine trying to choose between the Shepherd’s Pie, Traditional Italian Osso Bucco, Cabbage Dolmas, Chicken Tikka Masala, Hakka Noodles and Mussels in Mongolian Sauce!
The new restaurant in Cardiff will be set over two floors and will be able to cater for close to 400 hungry customers at the same time. Dozens of chefs will cook up the food to order at stations so that diners can see the meals being prepared.
Around 60 of the positions on offer will be on a full time basis and the remaining half will be part time Cardiff jobs. Red Hot World Buffet & Bar will look to recruit 30 apprentices at the new outlet within the next twelve months. Once up and running, the rapidly growing chain will employ almost 800 staff in the United Kingdom. They hope to open 18 more restaurants in the next few years at locations up and down Britain.
Red Hot World Buffet & Bar’s Director, Mrs Helen Dhaliwal, sounded delighted about opening the chain’s first restaurant in Wales and bring the full and part time jobs to Cardiff:
