FDM Group, the IT solutions company, is on the lookout for students with a keen interest or proven ability in marketing. The part time brand manager roles on 12 campuses in the UK could easily be a stepping stone to a permanent marketing job in Manchester, London, Brighton or any other FDM Group locations.

Even if there is no place with FDM Group at the end of these part time marketing positions, the second year students that the group is looking for will still have a wealth of experience to add to their CVs.

The FDM student brand managers will use direct marketing techniques and in order to portray the FMD name in a positive way throughout their university. The students will receive a salary and benefits for the duration of these part time positions.

Marketing Manager at FDM Group, Nabila Salem, spoke of how a stint as a student brand manager while she was at university helped with her own career. And, it certainly doesn’t sound as if she has any regrets about the work experience she gained in the role.

“Although I studied marketing at the time, the role pushed me to discover what marketing a brand was really about in the real world. It also helped when it came to applying for jobs after University as the role provided me with commercial experience and highlighted my enthusiasm for the industry,” said Ms Salem.

As well as their UK offices, the FDM Group have bases worldwide in Germany, Luxemburg, Switzerland, New York and Hong Kong. They have provided jobs for more than 3,000 graduates and hope to fill another 1,000 graduate jobs this year.
