London Forbidden, a Soho and Mayfair nightlife promotion and events company, is looking to fill 1,000 part time jobs in London before Christmas.

Through the scheme, the company hope that young people will learn the skills which could help them become leading entrepreneurs in the West End of London.

Forbidden started out as a small operation 5 years ago but was listed as a limited company in 2008. Since then it has been nominated for awards in London and has staged performances by Vivienne Westwood.

The company has ambitious plans – in addition to the 1,000 part time jobs in London they hope to fill by the end of this year, they also say they will recruit 10,000 by the end of next year.

Working as ‘City Reps’ the new recruits will advise tourists on the best attractions, bars, restaurants and clubs in London. The rate of pay will be £6.10 an hour.

Founder of London Forbidden, James WJ Wilson, said of these London jobs: “It's been a bad few weeks for London and we are delighted to be delivering some good news for young people in London. We have up to 1,000 vacancies we wish to fill by December, with bright, enthusiastic people eager to play a part in delivering the best events and nightlife to Londoners, and visitors to London, as possible.”
