HP To Partner With D&AD For Graduate Creative Academy

16 Mar 2011

HP To Partner With D&AD For Graduate Creative Academy Hewlett Packard (HP) is to partner with global creative and design organisation D&AD to offer a creative academy to some of the UK’s most promising graduates.

The Graduate Academy is set to launch in less than 2 weeks time on the 28 March and should give a massive boost to students looking for graduate jobs in the creative industry. The aim of the Academy is to hone graduates’ creative skills and increase their employability levels.

The 100 successful graduates will embark on a boot camp lasting 5 days and will then be whittled down to 50. The remaining half will start a work placement which could run for up to 3 months. The graduates who win through to the work placement stage will receive pay for the duration of the work experience and will have the chance to meet influential people in the creative industry.

Any students who successfully enter the D&AD Student Awards can be considered for the Graduate Academy. Other interested parties can also apply for the scheme through the D&AD website.

Chief executive of D&AD, Tim O'Kennedy, spoke with passion about how important such graduate schemes could be for students and the economy: “Initiatives like this one will be increasingly important as the full impact of educational spending cuts take effect. Creative thinking will be a major driver of long term, sustainable economic growth in this country, so it's in everyone's interest to see that creative talent is nurtured and encouraged, which this initiative will certainly do.”

There are thousands of graduate jobs in the creative industry and you will find lots of them listed on the e4s website. Use keywords to search for the creative jobs you are most interested in from our Graduate Job search facility.
