30 Jan 2011

Travelodge Set To Create Over 700 Full Or Part Time Hotel Jobs Travelodge, the budget hotel group, are set to create over 700 hotel jobs in London, Manchester, other UK cities and Spain.

The company has announced that it will build 35 new hotels this year as part of a £300 million expansion plan.

Currently, Travelodge has around 450 hotels in its portfolio but would like to see that more than double in the next 15 years.

8 of the new Travelodge hotels will be in the capital and will create hundreds of full and part time London hotel and catering jobs. Other new-builds will create further hotel jobs in Manchester, Birmingham, Cambridge, Hull, Ramsgate, Morecambe, New Brighton and Cardiff. Overseas, Travelodge will advertise even more jobs at their Valencia Airport hotel in Spain.

In total the expansion this year will mean that the budget hotel group have an extra 3,700 rooms to advertise to families and businesses who are seeking to cut down on travel spending due to the recession.

Director of Human Resources at Travelodge, Michelle Luxford, said: “We have an aggressive growth plan in place which includes opening 1,100 hotels by 2025. To support this expansion plan it’s vital that we employ the right people first time.”

We are constantly on the lookout for catering jobs and hotel positions in UK cities and the majority that we see are based in London. See if you can find yourself a hotel job in London now on our Catering & Hospitality Jobs in London page.
