In Workington, both Marks & Spencer and Argos are looking for Christmas staff and the Argos in Whitehaven will also be recruiting for an anticipated upturn in business over the Christmas holiday period.

Just two weeks ago, the new Asda in Workington created 330 jobs in Cumbria and new WH Smiths and Past Times outlets have just opened in the town.
