Argos are looking to recruit 7,000 extra staff for full and part time Christmas jobs this year. Not only do you land yourself a holiday job with Argos though, you can also save money on your Christmas shopping too as the company offer a 10 per cent discount to members of staff.
There are Argos outlets all over the UK so you should be able to find one of these temporary Christmas vacancies in your home town. It’s a fantastic way to earn some money in the holidays and many Christmas temps at Argos have actually gone on to be managers at the company.
The majority of these Argos Christmas jobs will most likely be on a part time basis as last year the average working week of a Christmas temp was 12 hours.
Although it is great to hear about these full and part time jobs from Argos over the Christmas break, the number of vacancies on offer is actually down on the previous few years. Last year, Argos offered 12,000 Christmas jobs and in 2008 there were as many as 20,000 full and part time positions up for grabs in the festive break.
That said there will lots of other Christmas jobs on offer at other big retailers too this year. We’ve just reported on how Debenhams are recruiting 9,000 Christmas staff too. It’s never too early to start looking for Christmas jobs, so start right now on our Part Time and Holiday Job search page.
