28 Aug 2010

Wilkinson Brings Over 70 New Full And Part Time Jobs To Surrey Wilkinson, the home and garden outlet with over 25,000 product lines, has opened a new store and created over 70 new full and part time jobs in Surrey.

Built on the old Woolworth site in Camberley, the new Wilkinson store is just one of eight new shops that the company has opened in August. Other new sites are based all across the UK with further openings in Swanley in Kent, Exeter in Devon and Newbury and Reading in Berkshire. In Scotland, Wilkinson will also launch new stores at Greenock, Livingston and Hamilton this month.

These all add to the 17 new Wilkinson stores that have been opened in other towns and cities since 2009 and will bring the total number of shops to well over 300. They plan to expand further to take that total to over 500 before the end of 2012.

The Camberley shop brings over 70 new full and part time Surrey jobs to the area with a variety of roles on offer. Wilkinson regularly recruits people to fill full and part time positions as Customer Service Assistants, Merchandisers, Administration Supervisors, Security Guards and Cleaners.

The store manager at the new Camberley shop, Sarah Smith, said: “Opening the new Wilkinson store in Camberley is an exciting prospect. We are looking forward to providing the town with a much-needed jobs boost, and becoming a part of this close-knit community.”
