Travelodge Strengthens Summer Job Numbers Travelodge, the budget hotel company, are looking for 140 new staff to fill jobs in the summer following their takeover of over 50 Innkeeper’s Lodges.

Although many of the Travelodge jobs will be filled this summer, they are not necessarily all simply holiday jobs. Travelodge are keen to retain good staff and want to help the right candidates progress through their ranks to a rewarding career in hotel catering and hospitality.

Following the purchase of the 52 new hotels, the company have started recruiting for 40 hotel managers and around a hundred entry level employees. Some of the jobs available this summer include night porters, cleaners and receptionists.

Regional Operations Director of Travelodge, Debbie Husband, pointed out that Travelodge is currently the fastest growing hotel chain in the United Kingdom. She said that they are looking for ‘enthusiastic, motivated and committed individuals’ to boost the ranks of their national team.

Speaking of the new jobs to be filled, Husband said: “Our latest acquisition of 52 hotels offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are looking for a career in hospitality. At Travelodge we believe in developing our people and offer a variety of in-house training and career advancement programmes.”
