Marketing Recruitment Agency have produced a survey showing that the average salary for a professional working in general and graduate jobs in marketing is now over £32,000.

The recruitment company surveyed looked at over two thousand marketing jobs which were advertised in the United Kingdom in the first quarter of 2010 to come up with the average salary figure for marketing professionals.

The range of salaries on offer for marketing jobs started out at a fraction under £20,000 for a marketing assistant job and peaked at just over £75,000 for a marketing director. Overall the marketing salary survey looked at 29 different types of marketing roles.

Senior Account Manager of Marketing Recruitment Agency said that after the slowdown in marketing vacancies last year they had seen demand for general and graduate jobs in marketing return through the first half of 2010.

King continued "We have certainly seen the demand for candidates with online marketing experience grow dramatically and this is one area where employers are looking to recruit. It is clear that clients are looking to gain an online share and candidates with strong Search Engine Optimisation, Pay per Click and eMarketing experience are highly sought after."
