These are exciting times for anyone looking for PR jobs in London as Major Players, a UK recruiter, reveals a staggering 210% increase in the number of PR jobs in London and the rest of the UK.

The even better news about the increase in PR vacancies is that a majority of the increase comes in PR jobs at a junior level, meaning there has been a rise in the number of PR positions available for young people.

Furthermore, this doubling of the number of PR jobs in London and other parts of the UK comes in the relatively short period of time between the last quarter of 2009 and the first quarter of this year. And, the positive news looks on target to continue as the number of PR vacancies for April had almost matched those for March – but with a third of the month still to go.

PR Divisional Head at Major Players, Jon Gloyne, said of the surge in PR positions: "Its great news for the industry that this increase indicates a return to business for the sector. Since the start of the year we've seen a dramatic increase in the number of junior roles being briefed by our clients. This is further indication of the market buoyancy we're currently experiencing, in contrast to 2009 figures when agencies lacked the budget to support lower level recruitment."
