Rewarding Part Time Voluntary Job With Benefits

31 Mar 2010

Rewarding Part Time Voluntary Job With Benefits We’ve got a very interesting and rewarding voluntary job with KeyRing on the E4S website at the moment. If you are in the Exeter region (or would consider living and working in Exeter) and you like to help out other people then this charity job could be ideal for you.

As a Community Living Volunteer with the charitable company KeyRing you would be provided with a rent-free, self-contained flat or house to live in. So, although this role is actually a voluntary job, you will save money on your rent and you could still take on another part time job around this role. Also, KeyRing will allow you a 6-week break every year from the network.

KeyRing are a charitable company who provide support to people with learning difficulties. Their aim is to give the people they work with the chance to get on with living the life they want in their own accommodation whilst also strengthening the communities they become a part of. You could be a part of helping that to happen.

KeyRing have 90 networks across England and Wales and now provide support to over 750 members.

Typical tasks that you will be expected to help out with as a Community Living Volunteer include assisting the members with advice and practical matters concerning their tenancy agreement with KeyRing. For example, you might need to help the members organise their finances so that rent and other bill commitments are met. Another task you might help out with is providing support for any form-filling that members might be required to complete in order to maintain their benefits.

KeyRing expect you to be available for just 12 hours a week to carry out you network duties and commitments to the members. So, this charity job could be ideal for a student, an unemployed person or anyone already working in a part time job. It would also suit anyone who is looking to gain some valuable experience to round out their CV.
