Eversheds Will Have Graduate Jobs On Offer In 2010

10 Mar 2010

Eversheds Will Have Graduate Jobs On Offer In 2010 Eversheds, the global legal firm, has confirmed that it will have graduate jobs on offer in 2010 after taking a break from starting graduates in their company in 2009.

In April last year, Eversheds asked their current crop of graduate recruits to hold off starting their new jobs for 12 months, citing the challenging market conditions at the time. But now the company has announced that the 27 graduates from last year will begin their careers in 2010 along with a further 49 that Eversheds will recruit from this year’s graduate pool of talent. This means that in total Eversheds will have filled 76 graduate positions by the end of 2010.

The people starting those 76 graduate jobs will get experience at various practice groups in the UK and overseas over the course of a training contract which runs for two years.

Eversheds currently employ over 4,500 staff at almost 50 offices around the world. They supply legal services to both the private and public sectors.

In the press release, Bryan Hughes, Eversheds CEO, said: "We are delighted to be able to make this commitment to these talented people. Whilst the economy remains fragile in some areas, we are seeing the benefits of having proactively managed our business as our performance continues to improve. Our strategy of providing innovative and flexible solutions to clients is helping us win more and better quality work across the board, and it is important that we again invest in the next generation of lawyers to underpin future growth."
