Tens of thousands of new temporary jobs are being created by some of the big High Street names in the run up to Christmas.
Argos has around 650 stores at bases all over the UK and this year they are recruiting 12,000 staff into Christmas holiday jobs to aid them in their busiest period. The Argos website uses the slogan, “My Argos is a great place to spend Christmas” and gives details of how all of the people who take the temporary jobs will receive a ten percent in-store discount. They say they are looking for ‘enthusiastic, flexible people who will keep our customers happy by delivering great service.’ You can apply for these temporary positions using their application form.
Also looking for help over the festive period is Debenhams. They are recruiting 7,500 people to work in seasonal jobs for Christmas. That amounts to an average of nearly 50 new temporary jobs at each of their stores. Again, you can search for all of their latest vacancies on the Debenhams website and can even apply online.
Or you could ‘Work Your Magic’ at Boots who are hoping to offer Christmas jobs to about 7,000 staff. They are looking for Sales Assistants, Operations Assistants and Sales Consultants to make their Christmas run smoothly. As a member of staff you’ll also be entitled to a 22.5% discount on Boots products and 12.5% on other items. You can apply online by clicking here.
