Letters help you find a temporary job to earn a bit of cash for the Christmas holidays. Royal Mail is creating 17,500 temporary posts to help them sort their way through their busiest period. Okay, enough with the weak puns, but what a great opportunity for anyone looking for flexible work to boost their own Christmas holidays!
Royal Mail’s workload almost doubles to 130 million items a day over the festive period so they always source extra people for lots of different shifts all around the country. Just like the Royal Mail say, ‘Santa isn’t the only one who needs help this Christmas.’
The positions are usually as indoor mail sorters and last for two or three weeks. Experience isn’t essential so the temporary jobs are open to everyone.
If you are interested in these temporary positions then you can search and apply online at the Royal Mail website. Once they have received your application you could be asked to go along to a registration session to discuss the opportunities on offer.
