Lord Mandelson has kicked-off a new campaign to raise awareness of the increased national minimum wage.

On October 1st the new rates increased to £5.73 for people aged 22 and over, £4.77 for 18-21 year olds and £3.53 for workers between 16 and 17.

The Business Secretary launched the new It's Your Call roadshow at Downing Street which will tour around cities across the UK over the next three months.

Its purpose is to advise workers on their wage entitlements and give advice on how to make a complaint if they are being underpaid by their employer.

Lord Mandelson said the government was "determined to ensure workers are paid fairly" and combat the "small number" of businesses "who cheat their workers".

"More than one million workers benefited from its increase last month and it's important that we make sure everyone knows what they're entitled to - that's what this campaign is all about," he added.

Onrec.com recently reported that online recruitment agencies could be the most effective way to find graduate jobs, particularly in the credit and risk sectors.
