Is Employment4students right for you

Do you only have students applying for jobs?

No - we appeal to a wide range of candidates, and even though the majority are students, our stats show that we have school leavers, graduates and people who have left the education system at other stages looking and applying for jobs on the website.

Are Employment4students a recruitment agency?

We are a jobsite - so we allow you to post your jobs on the site for a small fee. Our audited figures show we have over 372,000 unique visitors a month coming to the site, looking for and applying for your vacancies. Monthly we always generate over 200,000 applications. We then send applications through to you, and you carry on with the recruitment process.

Why should I advertise with you?

This is best answered at www.e4s.co.uk/employer! Basically we're the UK's most visited website for undergraduate jobs.

What areas do you cover (location and sectors)?

We are a nationwide jobsite, and cover all areas in the UK. We have relationships with universities and colleges throughout the country and a range of job vacancies spread across the UK. Similarly we cover a whole range of sectors - our candidates come to us to look for student jobs, and we are not sector specific. We advertise anything from work in the finance, to the hospitality, leisure and adventure sectors.

Do you offer any guarantees that my position will be filled?

If you are worried about whether we can help you fill your vacancies give us a call on 0845 838 0595 and we'll discuss your requirements and tell you a bit more about our candidates. Every vacancy is different, so we can't offer a guarantee. Give us a call though and we'll be totally honest with you. If we don't think the vacancy you have is relevant for our candidates, we'll tell you, and try to advise you on where else you can advertise.

Registering and Logging in

Where do I register?

To post a job, or a company profile - you first need to register. Registering is free and can be done at www.e4s.co.uk/employer/register.

Why can't I log in to my account?

Ensure you are using Employment4students recruiter site (www.e4s.co.uk/employer), rather than the login area for jobseekers. If you can see the word jobseekers on the page, then you are in the wrong area!

Make sure you're using the correct username and password. If you can't remember your username, give us a call on 0845 838 0595 or drop us an email

Forgotten my password?

If you have forgotten your password, click on the "Forgotten your password?" link on the login page and then enter your email address and username. A new password will be emailed straight over to you.

Advertising a Job

How do I advertise my job?

Once you've registered for an account you should be taken directly to your new account. You can post a job simply by click on the "post a job" link and following the process through. Please don't leave the process - your job will only be properly saved to our system when you see a message telling you that you have successfully posted the job.

How much does it cost to post a job?

For a standard advert is costs from £20 + VAT. This gets you a 28 day advert in one county.

We charge dependent on how many counties you post the advert in, and how long you post the advert for.

Number of Counties:

Please only post your vacancy in relevant locations where the candidate will be working. Posting in more than one county costs £5 extra per county (so for example 4 counties will cost £35). If your vacancy is nationwide then this only costs £100 + VAT.

How long you post your advert for:

The longer you keep your advert live, the bigger the discount you are entitled to. You can post your advert for 1 day, or all the way up to 365 days. If you post for a year you'll get a 37% discount. There are no drawbacks to posting a long term advert - it's just cheaper!

We also offer featured advertising (from £100) and a number of other ways to increase the volume of applications. See the "Services & Pricing" page for more information.

You can specify how you want to receive applications. You can receive them by email through our system (most secure and easily trackable), you can specify a website or URL you want us to send people to (perhaps an application form on your own website) or you can enter a telephone number or postal address.

You can add multiple application methods if you require.

We also accept payment by Cheque, BACS, PayPal and can take Card Payments over the phone. If you wish to pay by any of these methods please do give us a call and we can arrange it for you. We also accept cash payment - and we'll definitely offer you a cup of tea and a biscuit if you drop in.

Applications

How do I check my applications?

In your account there is a section titled "Application Reports". You can search by dates and then click through on the number of applications to get more details about the individual applications. For email applications you can download the candidate CV, view their whole application, and have it resent to you. You'll also see exactly when the application was made.

For applications where we send candidates through to your website - you'll see the exact time the click through was generated, and if the candidate is registered with us, then you'll see their name as well.

How do I get more applications?

There are always ways to optimise your advert to generate more applications. To find out more detail please visit our information centre and view the relevant articles. Please remember, you can edit your advert at any stage!

You can also upgrade your advert - to get more prominence, or to send us dedicated e-shots to registered candidates. If you require more applications then please do not hesitate to get in touch with us on 0845 838 0595.

How can I improve the quality of the applications?

As above, since you can edit your advert at any time you can change your required criteria of candidates and so either filter out more or less applicants. You can also change the wording of the advert and the job title to tailor it to your requirements.

What can I get for free?

What is a free company profile?

You can post a free company profile which is added to our recruiter directory. It allows you to advertise your organisation, explain what you do, add a logo, a video, and lets you input a link which goes back to your website.
