There are so many mobile phones deals on the market it is difficult to compare mobile phone deals from every vendor. We have looked at all the major mobile phone shops online and pulled out some of the best contact mobile phone deals on the market. One of the latest deals on mobile phones is free line rental. This is extremely appealing, but you do have to do some work, many giving you the money back via cashback. However, you will save upwards of £300 on many deals so they really are worth it. Dial-a-Phone
Dial-a-Phone have some awesome deals at the moment, and the cheapest place to get them..... their massive clearance section. They have deals for 99p per month up to £2.99 per month. OK, these are not technically free but they are as near as damn it! The phones aren't bad either so always worth checking out. If you want a better phone they have many other free online deals and even have deals giving away free Sony PSPs, free Apple iPods or even free XBox 360 with their phones. Sounds crazy but it's true. 3 have launched their clearance section with some fantastic cut price mobile deals. Currently they have 1000 text and 100 minutes per month for just £20 per month, and you get up to £50 credit back. Best Vodafone Sim Only Deal - 75 mins and 500 text per month for £10. Vodafone offer a similar deal to O2. Again a 30 day contract applies, but this shouldn't be a problem. You can choose from Anytime 125 which offers double minutes and 1000 texts, Anytime 200 with double minutes and 1000 texts up to anytime 350 with double minutes and 1000 texts. e2save have some great sim only deals from Virgin, O2, Orange and T-Mobile. The best deal by far is on Virgin with 3 months free line rental. The contract os 6 months long, but you get 100 mins and 100 text per month for just £5 per month. You can also get 200 mins and 200 text with 3 months free so just £7.50 per month. Orange
Orange SIM only deals are some of the best on the market. Currently they are offering 150 anytime minutes, 300 text and unlimited evening and weekend text for £15 on Dolphin 15. For £20 per month. Orange also offers 200 mins and unlimited text for £20 per month. If you are looking for more minutes, Racoon is the price plan you want, with 500 mins and 100 text for £20. For the best mix of the 2 the best Orange sim only deal is on Canary, with 450 mins and 250 text per month for £20. O2
O2 have a fantastic new deal on SIM only called Simplicity. This offer has no lengthy contract, just a SIM and 200 minutes and 400 text per month for Just £15 per month. The offer has no 12 month contract lock in, but is pay monthly deal. At the moment O2 are also offering double text when you bguy online. If you use you phone a bit more the is the Online 25 deal that offers 600 anytime, any network minutes and 1000 text per month, including Long Weekend Talk or Text, which means Unlimited calls or texts every Saturday, Sunday and Monday. You also get 1 MB download allowance each month and cheaper roaming rates with International traveller Service (ITS). The whole deal is £25 per month which is a great deal if you user you mobile a lot but already have the phone. T-Mobile
T-Mobile have entered the SIM only market with some cracking deals. Again, the SIM only deal is a contract phone with no long term contract, so if you have a phone you like already, and don't want another 12/18 month contract phone, this could be for you. Currently they have 3 great SIM only deals to choose froom. firstly they have the Just SIM 20 with 300 minutes and 500 text for £20 a month, Just SIM 30 for 800 mins and 1000 texts for £30 per month and Just SIM 40 for 1200 and 3000 text per month for £40 if you text a lot. A great way to avoid lock in contracts from T-Mobile.
Second Hand Mobile Phones
Sometimes you don't want to pay a big line rental or start up fee on pay-as-you-go to get a mobile phone you don't really want, and one that you could get much cheaper if you bought second hand. It is also sometimes very handy to have a second hand mobile phone as back up, say if you do a lot of working outdoors or sport where you could easily break a newer, more expensive model.
There are quite a few sites out their dealing in second hand mobile phones, with seemingly varying degrees of legitimacy and product. It seems, as with most things, that the best place to pick up a second hand mobile is on the magical e-bay.
Here you can check the reviews of the people selling it to you so you should be very safe. You can also liaise with the person selling you the phone to get some insider info. People change their mobile phones as they change their underwear these days, and there are second hand Nokia, second hand Sony Ericsson and second hand Samsung flooding the market.
Things to be aware of: There is a myth going (mainly spawned by mobile retailers!) that mobile phones have a lifetime of just 5 years. Quite simply, this isn't true. Yes, sometimes batteries can become less efficient and therefore need more charging, but on the whole mobile phones have become more and more resilient and therefore will last longer. Just make sure if you buy a second hand mobile phones that you get the charger, manual, hands-free kit and preferably the box with it.
