It’s not credit card related – but it’s definitely student related, and it’s really newsworthy. We have no affiliation with RBS but we have to say that their student bank account is a pretty good offer!

Firstly, they say that the “essentials pack” is worth £146… I’m not sure where they got this from as £100 off an Asus computer and £50 off mobile broadband from 3 already adds up to more than this. These two are great offers though, and then there’s 25% of gigs and shows and 2 for 1 Vue cinema tickets as well. If you read through their offering you’ll also see 10% off Travel-save and you have access to their student credit card, as well as a free Microsoft webcam (if you sign up online).

If you’re a student and you’ve just started university then this is a pretty good offer – you also get an interest free overdraft of up to £2750, which is one of the best around.
