| Paying your credit card bill by direct debit… | |

I’m not going to waffle on in this post – but just want to make sure that everyone knows that when they’re looking to get a credit card, make sure it lets you pay by direct debit. Many people have been caught out and either forgotten to make a monthly payment, or not paid it on time, or equally, not paid enough to cover the minimum amount. One late payment on your credit card may not make that much difference but please remember that this may go on your credit score, and multiple late payments may well have a very bad effect! Cards such as Egg let you set up a direct debit and give you the option of paying the minimum amount, paying the full amount, or paying a regular amount every month. Set this up and you should never miss a payment again! |
